To facilitate essential system maintenance, JIM has initiated a phased, temporary closure of passport service counters at 71 issuance offices nationwide. During these designated service windows, over-the-counter submissions, passport printing, and the MyOnline Passport portal will be temporarily paused at the affected branches.
The Maintenance Schedule: Phase 1
The system upgrades are being rolled out in strategic stages. Phase 1 runs from June 26 to June 30, temporarily pausing passport services at key primary hubs, including:
- Major Hubs: The Immigration Headquarters in Putrajaya, alongside the flagship passport issuance offices in Jalan Duta, Kelana Jaya, Melaka, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
- Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs): Nine prominent branches are included in this initial phase—UTC Pudu Sentral (Puduraya), UTC Selangor, UTC Johor Bahru, UTC Pasir Gudang, UTC Seremban, UTC Ipoh, UTC Kedah, UTC Sungai Petani, and UTC Seberang Perai.
Schedules for subsequent maintenance phases will be announced by the department progressively.
