#friendshipgoal: Exploring Oxford's Timeless Charm with My Bestie

Greetings, dear readers! I'm thrilled to welcome you to my corner of the digital universe. I am Nursha Hassan, the voice that resonates through the airwaves, bringing you news, stories, and a touch of charisma as a Buletin Utama TV3 anchor.

You must be wondering why a TV3 anchor would write a travel blog right? Well, it's my passion! While the glamour of the studio lights is undeniable, my role extends beyond the confines of the television screen. Engaging with the community, participating in events, and using my platform for positive change are integral aspects of my journey. I believe in the power of media to inspire, inform, and uplift, and I am committed to making a meaningful impact. That is why I really excited to join this platform for allowing me to relive and celebrate the memorable moments that have enriched my journey in Oxford with my bestie.

Why we decided to explore Oxford?

Oxford, a city that breathes history and academia, became the backdrop for a memorable adventure with my best friend. As we ventured into the heart of this timeless English gem, we discovered that Oxford's charm extends far beyond its iconic spires and historic colleges. My friend and I had so much fun together. This journey filled with laughter, discovery, and the enduring beauty that is Oxford.

A Stroll Through History

Our adventure began with a leisurely stroll through the cobbled streets of Oxford. The historic architecture seemed to whisper tales of the past, as we marveled at the renowned colleges that have shaped generations of scholars. The spires of Christ Church College and the medieval beauty of Magdalen College provided a stunning backdrop to our exploration.

Radcliffe Camera

I am mesmerized by this building. The Radcliffe Camera was built between 1737 and 1749. This building features a distinctive circular shape and a portico with columns. It is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Oxford. Originally designed to house a library, it now serves as a reading room for the Bodleian Library.

Botanic Garden

As we wandered through the Botanic Garden, the air filled with the fragrance of blooming flowers and the rustle of leaves, creating a serene atmosphere that enveloped us. The garden offered a tranquil escape, and we reveled in the simple joy of being surrounded by nature in the heart of the city.

Literary Magic at Bodleian Library

No visit to Oxford is complete without delving into its rich literary history. The Bodleian Library, with its labyrinthine corridors and ancient manuscripts, transported us to a world where knowledge transcends time. The Divinity School, adorned with Gothic architecture, left us in awe of the centuries-old institution that has been a sanctuary for scholars and book lovers alike.

In the afternoon, we explored the charming streets of the Jericho neighborhood, where cozy bookshops, cafes, and vibrant street art added a modern twist to the city's classical character. Each corner seemed to beckon us to linger a little longer, sharing laughter and stories over a cup of coffee.

Punting on the Cherwell

To experience Oxford from a different perspective, we decided to embark on a quintessential Oxford activity – punting on the Cherwell River. Gliding through the serene waterways, we were surrounded by the lush greenery of the University Parks. The rhythmic motion of the punt and the occasional splash of water against the boat created a harmonious symphony, making it a memorable and leisurely afternoon.

Culinary Delights and Breathtaking Views

Our culinary journey in Oxford was as diverse as the city itself. From traditional English fare in a historic pub to international cuisine in the eclectic Cowley Road district, we savored every bite. The Rooftop Restaurant at the Ashmolean Museum offered not only delectable dishes but also panoramic views of the city, allowing us to soak in the beauty of Oxford.

As we bid farewell to Oxford, we carried with us not only the souvenirs and photographs but also the intangible treasures of shared experiences and strengthened friendship. Oxford, with its timeless charm, had provided the perfect backdrop for our journey of discovery and camaraderie, leaving us with memories that would last a lifetime.
